Can you tell us a little about your background and your new role?
I’ve been all about startups for most of my working life because I love how much progress you can make in those environments. Lately, I’ve been working on machine learning models to extract information from sensors. As part of a tiny tech team, I’m a jack-of-all-trades, from figuring out new ways to programme our robot helpers and setting up data pipelines. I even jump in for some IT support!
Why did you decide to join team twig?
I was excited by the opportunity to combine high-throughput experimentation with automation – the idea of generating massive amounts of data gets any data scientist excited! So joining the twig team seemed like a no-brainer.
What do you like to do outside of work?
After spending so much time glued to my laptop during the workweek, I like to be outside! On weekends, you’ll usually catch me out in the wild, deep in the woods, donned in a bee suit, and taking care of my buzzing buddies.
