Can you tell us a little about your background and your new role?
I studied biochemistry for my undergrad and spent some time working in structural biology and algal biotechnology groups before undertaking my PhD on Rubisco engineering. Now my role at Twig gives me an opportunity to use the synthetic biology skills I developed in my PhD to optimise metabolic pathways!
Why did you decide to join team twig?
I wanted to work for an innovative sustainable biotech company that would challenge me and also give me an opportunity to learn outside my technical area. I think Twig provides exactly that, in a very supportive and collaborative environment!
What do you like to do outside of work?
Cooking and eating, getting outside for big walks, and going for a swim and sauna!
