The team at twig are over the moon to be a finalist for Deep Tech Investment of the Year, awarded by the UK Business Angels Association. Twig fought off stiff competition to be shortlisted alongside others who are also pioneering technologies such as machine learning and robotics. The award is sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering and is focused on solutions that provide fundamental breakthroughs to global challenges.
Co-Founder and CEO, Russ Tucker, said “it’s a fantastic achievement to have made it this far, but we of course have our fingers crossed that on 6 July we’ll be taking the trophy home. Alongside James and Satnam, I’ll be dusting off my black tie to attend the ceremony at The Science Museum, ready to smile and clap if we are a runner up, but hoping that we win and can thank the twig team, our parents, partners and pets for all the support to date.”
